Our Adventures: * We visited with family in Indiana over Christmas. * It was a tough month for us most of December when Spike broke his leg and required a Vet visit and constant care. He's nearly back to his old self now. Since so many of you requested to see photos we went ahead and set up a "Spikey" page on the website: Spike's Page * The generosity of a friend in Townsend resulted in David and Wes hauling 10 truckloads of mulch over the last two weeks. We now have a fully mulched path down through the woods in the backyard. We also used some of it to cover our asparagus beds and ring our firepit. * Wes will celebrate his 40th birthday this month. We're pleased to say he's holding up well for his age. |

Wes shows Will how to fix a paint blob on the solar system kit we bought him for Christmas. Will enjoys art and nature and is a joy to be around! |
Rachelle shows no mercy in giving rabbit ears to our crippled baby! |
|
Critter Encounters: * Yard Bird List: 90 species. We added a Golden-crowned Kinglet and an American Redstart this past month and we're happy to see the flocks of winter vistors back at the feeders. * Wes was lucky enough to witness an immature Coopers Hawk kill and devour a Mourning Dove at his mom's house over Christmas...a painting is in the works! |
