Rachelle makes them all laugh again!
A party at the home of John and Connie Woods after the show in Thomasville with friends and fellow artists.
Photos done...let's have that yummy breakfast!
Preparing to enjoy a delicious breakfast with fellow artist Karryl and her husband Vic at the Ruffled Duck Inn in Oxford, Maryland (www.ruffledduckinn.com).

News:
* Wes's "Catawba Rhododendron" has been selected for the Blossom ~ Art of Flowers Exhibition and Tour. The show is the foremost floral competition in the world and the inaugural exhibition will be at the Houston Museum of Natural Science. (see exhibits)
* We were humbled and honored to be selected to receive the WNAG Conservation Artist Award for December and January. The Award is made each month to a member of the Worldwide Nature Artists Group who has demonstrated a combination of artistic excellence and who has made an extraordinary contribution to the conservation cause.
* Additional awards have been added into our awards section and our exhibit schedule has been updated.
Now she knows she's really sweet!
Rachelle models a butterfly in the butterfly enclosure at the Plantation Wildlife Arts Festival.
Birdsong is always fun and now it's filled with so many great memories!
Rachelle and Mark Eberhard stop to amuse Wes with his camera during their exploration of Birdsong Nature Center in Thomasville, GA.

Interesting Updates:
* On the easels: Rachelle is working on a portrait while Wes is about to start a pheasant commission. We had two wonderful shows at both the Waterfowl Festival and the Plantation Wildlife Arts Festival so we'll be busy the next two months painting back up our inventory for the shows in Charleston and Tulsa.
Brrr...I thought Florida was supposed to be warm?
Enjoying a very cold picnic at Suwannee River State Park in Florida with Rachelle's family. It's cold enough that the dogs stayed inside Hayley and Sally's coats!
Grrrr...that's my toy!
Wes proves to be more than a match for the family's Chihuahuas, Macy and Dixie.
Our Adventures:
* Driving to shows...having the time of our lives...Driving back home... - you get the picture this time of year. We enjoy the scenic countryside and tense up in the cities. Thankfully now that we've been in most of the shows for several years the trips get easier and we try to take extra time to enjoy the local areas.
* Recent memory makers: Our trips to Easton, MD and Thomasville, GA were both delightful. Staying with Dennis and Joyce at the Ruffled Duck Inn is always such a relaxing time especially at breakfast when we can fellowship with our fellow guests over tummy pleasing delicacies! A special thanks to John and Connie Wood who graciously hosted us during our stay in Thomasville! What fun bunking with fellow artists Steve Oliver, Cole Johnson and Don Rambadt. John and Connie fed us, entertained us and additionally hosted an after show party where we dined on John's soups and were treated to a DVD presentation by Don of his recent trip to Indonesia.
* We love cleaning up the yard and gardens in preparation for winter and we've spent the last few days decorating our home for Christmas. We'll be hosting the neighborhood Christmas party this month and expect about 25 of our gang to attend.
How many fond childhood memories!
Rachelle and the Woods doggies, Fiddle and Hula, play with some legos while waiting for the rest of the guests to arrive at the party.
Hey gals I think I saw it move!
Rachelle and her sister, Hayley, enjoy watching the Suwannee River float lazily by atop "Balanced Rock" in the State Park.
Critter Encounters:
* Yard Bird List: 93. We did spot numerous Field Sparrows while hiking in Georgia.
* The visiting winter birds are starting to show up at our feeders and we've noticed that the chipmunks have tunneled into the compost for extra treats.
