A Photo is worth a thousand words!
Rachelle seems completely distraught that friend, Steve Newman, is a better aim than her at snowball fights. Of course being a south Florida native does put her at a disadvantage.

News:
* The email issues seem to have been resolved. In an effort to avoid future problems with hurricanes our hosting company will be moving artofwildlife.com to a new server this month. If all goes smoothly there should be no downtime for the website.
* We should be posting new shows to the schedule soon and recently learned that In the Woods Gallery will be reopening here in Townsend. Several of our miniatures have been displayed in the Trailhead Steakhouse along with all the other fine art in the interim.
A happy little girl in the snow!

What a great addition to our community.

Interesting Updates:
* On the easels: We're both working on submissions for special exhibits. Rachelle is currently working on a frog and Wes is painting a pack rat. A few of our paintings will be "large" by our standards since some shows don't accept work as tiny as ours.
Hurry up Wes we're very hungry!
Rachelle and friend, artist Ronnie Wells (wildlife sculptor and painter), show off their fancy dinners during a get together in Charleston. Ronnie's wife, Patricia, is hiding out of the photo!
Boy can they eat!
We have a wonderful time at shows enjoying the fellowship of our peers both during the exhibits at afterwards at restaurants and parties. Here our dear friends, Mark Holland and Cindy Lewis (wildlife carvers), prove to the entire world that they still lick their plates clean at every meal.

Our Adventures:
* Townsend received two nice snowfalls in February so sledding and snowball fights were worked into our painting schedule. Rachelle also tried to catch up on lost experiences as a child in Florida by building snowmen on our deck.
* Spike is still doing great and is enjoying us spending so much time in the studio.
* We'll be heading to Tulsa, OK this month to participate in NatureWorks for the third year. Looks like it will be warm weather this time around again. Driving through all the snow and ice wasn't much fun our first trip out there.
Mmmmm....this smells so good!
Wes with longtime friend and fellow wildlife artist, Danny O'Driscoll, show off their yummy dinners.
Gorgeous and only yards from our house
Wes poses at one of our sledding spots - the local park in Townsend just yards from our house.
Slow down....you're going to run over me!
Rachelle can't get enough of sledding.
What a lovely sight!

Critter Encounters:
* Yard Bird List: 90 species.
* Flocks of Pine Siskins numbering over 50 have been covering our deck lately. White-throated Sparrows, Slate Colored Juncos and Purple Finches are among our visitors this time of year. We're delighted to confirm that we now have a male and female Chipmunk - here's hoping for wee little cuties!
