Rachelle with John Hoffman enjoying a picnic in Cades Cove. |
Rachelle and John pose with Tonka, one of the elephants at the Knoxville Zoo. Tonka had just taken a mud bath and it was incredible to watch. |
News: * Wow - what a busy time of year! We've been painting like crazy lately getting all the work we need for various shows and hope to be updating the exhibit schedule over the next two months with new shows. * We're sad to announce the cancellation of the annual Papermill Playhouse Miniature Exhibition. Despite it's successful run of 17 years the new Director didn't want to continue with the art program. We'll be sending some of the works to the Snowgoose Gallery show and a few to other exhibits. |

Rachelle and Susan Labouri laugh as Daniel tries to figure out why chocolate makes women so giddy. |
Interesting Updates: * On the easels: Rachelle is currently working on a baby Bison portrait and Wes is spending time lately framing and preparing works for upcoming shows. |

Rachelle, Joe Garcia, Adele Earnshaw and Melanie Fain enjoy each others friendship and a picnic during set-up at the NatureWorks show. The committee spoils us rotten! |

Our Adventures: * The show in Tulsa was both fun and profitable. 23 of the artists and their families all went out to eat together one night which is always a joy! * We've been entertaining a lot lately - friends, family and collectors (who seem family!) * We spent a day in the Knoxville Zoo and are excited about the fantastic potential paintings when encountered. We're also getting back into our routine of daily bike rides and weekly trips/ hikes in the Smokies. We're looking forward to more of you visiting us over the summer months! |

John and Rachelle enjoy a carousel ride at the Zoo ~ Rachelle is obviously having more fun at John's expense! |
We especially enjoy zoos for the ability to get so close to the critters and in some way interact with them. We must look like the oddest parade of weirdos going by to the animals and birds. |
|
Critter Encounters: * Yard Bird List: 90 species. * The migratory warblers are starting to return to our yard so we hope to spot some new species for our yard list. Sadly some of our neighbors are trapping the skunks and plan to trap the rabbits. Why move to the woods when you want to live in a city or golf course? |
