We celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary on July 7th. A chocolate cake of course for Rachelle. |
Rachelle and Spikey working on commission paintings. |
News: * We've added a few new exhibits to our schedule. We've also been invited back into all our previous shows and exhibitions so it will be a very full 2005-2006 season. |

A photo of our fabulous Blue Hydrangea in the side year. The blossoms last most of the summer and are so deep in their blue color. Rachelle dries them and decorates the house year round. We have fresh cut flowers in vases all over the house this time of year. |
A view of our front yard and the steps leading up into the path. It's cute to watch the rabbits and skunks use our trails, steps and garden paths. |
Interesting Updates: * It's been poor weather for biking and hiking but that's good news for our painting inventory. Despite a record summer season of sales we're still managing to build up our show inventory. * On the easels: Rachelle is currently painting another portrait commission. Wes is working on a "Divi Divi tree" commission. (it's an amazing tree in Aruba that grows at a 45 degree angle due to the constant Tradewinds on the island). We are also working on our special exhibit inventory. These will be posted online as soon as they are all finished. |

Our Adventures: * We've barely managed to do anything other than paint during the past month of heat and storms. August is when our temperatures start to fall as well as some of the leaves on the trees. The cooler nights are perfect for bike rides and walks. * We did a short hike up the Treemont Middle Prong trail with friends Bill and Rachel Tippit and their sons. They're all into insects and birds so it was fun spending time with them. We set out a light and sheet on the neighbor's deck and attracted a full spectrum of critters. * We'll be heading to Dollywood with a bunch of friends this month to play on the water rides and roller coasters. The 3rd week of August we've set aside to spend painting in our basement with three other local artists. * New images of our house and yard have been posted online: Go see our yard and home |

Spike poses with some of our summer harvest of blueberries. We picked five gallons that day and had fresh blueberry pancakes all week. |

Critter Encounters:
* Yard Bird List: 86 species. Our bunnies are loving the apples that are falling from the tree. We can sit on the ground just a few feet away from them. Our bluebirds fledged two groups of babies this year and overall we seem to have more bird activity than usual. |
